FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1.  Why does the Mehfil.net player not buffer the way it should to enable smooth playing?
Answer: You may have a slow internet connection. That might be one
of the reasons.On the other hand, maybe you should empty your browsers
cache or move your entire temporay internet files folder to a new location
with more disc space

2. Even though my internet is very fast and I got enough space for my temporary
internet files, I am having still buffering problems
Answer: Some channels, particular those that stream from China have a very high demand though
only limited bandwith is provided - in addition the under sea cable to China has recently been damaged
and the recent transmissions have gone over satelite. This can only become better in the future..
Concider watching those channels when most of China is sleeping and you can actually watch those as well.


3. The Mehfil.net players still don't buffer at times - why is that ?
Answer: If none (!) of the channels a playing, then the problem must be on your site.
Your Pc or other OS may not be fit to watch streaming media content.

4. The full screen function does not work?
Answer: Please update your flash player/ WMP to the latest version .
Also install the latest ActiveX controls (for Windows) from a trusted source.True full screen
for all channels is only supported by Internet Explorer.

5. How can I activate/ de-activate fullscreen mode ?
Answer: The various players have different ways to activate fullscreen  - usually just double click on the
screen to activate fullscreen - if this didn't work, try right click on screen and choose fullscreen frm the dropdown menu.

6. When I go to some channels, I can't see the player?
Answer: For this channels additional plugins have to be installed. Most of this channels are
in need of either Tvu player or Sopcast player. Please refer to the plugin downloads on Mehfil.Net's
Channel Chooser page

7. The Tvu player worked earlier but now it doesn't buffer at all?
Answer: Tvu player can only be displayed on one page at the time.Make sure that you close all
other browser windows that moight have the player on .If this doesn't work simply refresh the browser
or restart it alltogether and try the same channel again - it will work now.

8. Copyright?
Answer: Mehfil.Net never uploaded or streamed any stuff apart from its own homemade clips
and flash animations.All the stuff you see streaming is already out there for free.
Mehfil.net made just playlist. We are not aware of any copyright infringions.
The uploaders have all stated that they are solely responsible amd posess
all the necessary redistribution copyrights.We are in no position to prove them otherwise.
And we aren't detectives and investigators.Since we just "link" to stuff that is
allready being accessable to millions of people, this is perfectly legal where we live.


9. What do I need to make all channels work?
Answer:

• Windows media player 9 or 10 (preferred) version

• If you are viewing through Firefox, please install the FireFox WM plugin 

• If you are viewing through Internet Explorer, please activate the ActiveX  .

• You will require a min. 1000 kb/s  or higher stable internet connection in order to view all content

• Install Sopcast player

• Install Tvu player
